Madonna‘s Celebration Tour is underway and she’s getting rave reviews from fans and critics alike (other than that dreaded late start). While her four-decade career speaks for itself, the 65-year-old pop star is sending a very clear message about her 30-year-old boyfriend, fitness coach Josh Popper. Her much-younger beau made a very special appearance on Wednesday night in front of thousands of people in the New York City audience.
During the “Vogue” ball, Popper was brought onstage to serve as a judge as her dancers strutted their stuff down the runway, per a fan’s TikTok video. The dynamic duo sat cozily side by side and kissed each other a few times, clearly not minding that everyone was watching. They dished out the scores and even received a naughty lap dance from several of the dancers — which Popper and Madonna both seemed to enjoy.

The Material Girl went Instagram Official with her boyfriend back in March and has supported him at several of his amateur boxing matches this year. Madonna has defended her choice to date younger men, telling ABC News in 2012 while she was dating then-24-year-old French dancer Brahim Zaibat, “I didn’t choose to, you know, I didn’t, like, write down on a piece of paper — I’m now going to have a relationship with a younger man,” she explained. “That’s just what happened. You see, that’s the romantic in me. I just met someone that I cared for, and this happened to be his age.”
She refused to answer what specifically she liked about younger men but did admit that she is looking for a partner in life because she loves “being a part of a family unit.” So, don’t expect Madonna to go into detail about her romance with Popper, but don’t be surprised when she shares their love with all of her fans. That 35-year age gap doesn’t mean a thing to her.
